Job Description

Actuarial pricing role supporting Cyber and Executive Risks within a specialty (re)insurance platform. The position works closely with underwriting and business teams to deliver pricing insight, develop tools, and support portfolio performance across these lines. You’ll be part of a collaborative actuarial team with exposure to both transactional and portfolio-level pricing, as well as broader business initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop pricing tools to assess price adequacy and rate change
  • Perform portfolio and individual risk pricing analyses
  • Conduct trend, segmental, and performance analyses
  • Monitor key metrics such as rate change and profitability
  • Build, maintain, and enhance pricing models
  • Ensure models meet internal standards and governance requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation and obtain appropriate approvals
  • Support pricing quality assurance processes
  • Work closely with underwriters to support pricing decisions
  • Deliver training on pricing methodologies and tools
  • Collaborate with claims, exposure management, data, and reinsurance teams
  • Contribute to reporting for internal committees and stakeholders
  • Support broader actuarial initiatives (e.g. planning, portfolio analysis)
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes and methodologies
  • Stay up to date with market trends and regulatory developments

Requirements

  • Experience in P&C actuarial pricing
  • Exposure to cyber and/or specialty lines is a plus
  • Strong understanding of pricing techniques and portfolio management
  • Ability to communicate technical work to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset with strong business awareness
  • Progressing towards actuarial qualification (if not already qualified)
