Job Description:

AvantStay is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Associate to join our Lake Norman team. This role is responsible for executing scheduled pest control treatments, managing trash removal routes, and supporting the broader maintenance team with recurring preventative tasks across our portfolio of vacation rental properties. You'll work independently across multiple zones, report to our Senior Maintenance lead, and play a key role in keeping our properties in top condition for guests and owners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute scheduled pest control treatments across the property portfolio, including interior and exterior applications
  • Manage and complete trash removal routes across multiple geographic zones on a recurring weekly schedule using the provided (non-CDL) garbage truck
  • Perform preventative maintenance walkthroughs to identify and document issues before they escalate
  • Complete routine property upkeep tasks as needed including air filter replacements, well filter swaps, and other low-complexity recurring work
  • Coordinate with the Senior Maintenance team to prioritize and hand off any issues that exceed the scope of the role
  • Maintain accurate records of completed treatments, routes, and property conditions
  • Manage chemical inventory, equipment, and supplies for pest control operations

Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Pest control experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working regularly in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
  • Must have personal vehicle and insurance
  • Must have an overall flexible work schedule to fit current business needs
  • Must reside within a short drive of our properties in the designated area
