Descartes Underwriting is seeking a Press and Public Relations assistant in an internship to join our Marketing Team. You will report to the Marketing & Communication Project Manager and you will be a key contributor to the deployment of brand and external press communications. The applicant will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units.

Job Responsibility:

  • Press and public relations: Key messages and Q&As, press reviews coverage, media and journalists lists monitoring, global reporting, interviews and public opportunities support, thought-leadership content creation
  • Brand and Editorial communication: Creation of corporate formats and official presentations, corporate contents writing, awards dossier, briefs definition for design content creation and marketing productions
  • Marketing activities global support: Punctual help with communication plans, tracking activities monitoring and cross-functional projects

Requirements:

  • Final year student of master’s degree from a Journalism, Business or Engineering school with specialized cursus in Marketing, Digital Communications or related
  • A previous experience (internship and/or apprenticeship) in Sales or Marketing is highly valued
  • Proficiency in Pack Office and an appetite for digital tools and platforms
  • Rigor, analytical skills and good writing skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Professional or bilingual English is required
  • French is a plus
  • Eager to learn more about the insurance industry, and about climate, cyber and emerging risks
  • Keen to discover and learn new knowledge and skills including technical and digital ones
  • Your writing and analytical skills enables you to make editorial proposals
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in English
