As the Preschool Lead Educator, you’ll work alongside the Centre Director and Educational Leader to design and deliver high-quality, culturally responsive learning experiences for children.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement an intentional, inquiry-based curriculum that values children’s voice, agency, and curiosity
Collaborate with a passionate team of educators to embed reflective practice, project-based learning, and documentation of children’s thinking and ideas
Build strong partnerships with families, recognising them as co-constructors of learning
Mentor and inspire your team, fostering professional growth and pedagogical excellence
Ensure the learning environment reflects beauty, respect, and creativity, aligning with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and EYLF v2.0 principles and uphold a high standard of cleanliness
Implement and support the practice of children’s inclusion plans, through ensuring the environment and program is unique and reflects each child’s needs
Ensure that you have a strong partnership and ability to support families in providing inclusion strategies and inclusive practices and meet regularly to sustain this relationship
Requirements:
An Early Childhood Qualification recognized at a Children’s Services Employee Level 4 or higher
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications
Substantial professional experience and strong administrative skills, with a knack for time management
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with children and adults
Proven leadership skills and high self-motivation
