Job Description:

The Preschool Enrichment Classroom Staff provides support to the Preschool Enrichment Classroom Lead and Preschool Enrichment Classroom Assistant in delivering a developmentally appropriate program aligned with Colorado Department of Early Childhood regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, providing staff breaks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supporting meal routines, and preparing learning materials. The works collaboratively to foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere that promotes children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the implementation of a developmentally appropriate child care program
  • Support daily operations, ensuring child safety, promoting positive behavior, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing support with meals and staff coverage
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures
  • Attend training, workshops, and professional development opportunities to support continuous learning and remain in compliance with all training requirements set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood
  • Communicate clearly and constructively with colleagues and supervisors regarding student needs, progress, and challenges
  • Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining confidentiality, ethical conduct, and fostering positive working relationships with school staff
  • Utilize computer systems and software applications to complete essential tasks, including attendance tracking, required trainings, and submitting timesheets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must meet or exceed the education and experience requirements for Staff Aide as established by the Colorado Department of Human Services (Rule 7.702.44D as of 1/17/19)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist children in toileting along with delegated health care duties
  • Minimum of one year experience in Preschool Child Care
  • Complete and submitted BVSD online application
  • Communicate (read, write and speak) in English
