As a PreSales Engineer with the Everseen Go-To-Market Team, you will own the technical and data aspects of the sales relationship with our customers and prospects. The customer will form the centre of your activities and you will demonstrate the capability of Everseen’s solution suite to meet their preferred outcomes. And show insights from the trial and pilots we do with prospects.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver compelling, customized demonstrations of our technology to technical and business stakeholders
Own the technical components of the sales process, ensuring a seamless and informed sales journey
Engage directly with customer CTOs and technical leaders to build trust and instill confidence in our solution’s capabilities and fit
Work collaboratively with others in the sales team to define tailored technical solutions that align with customer needs and business goals
Help drive the sales process in partnership with the Go-To-Market team
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on our product, delivering deep technical insight, and advice on the data insights gained
Provide technical expertise through presentations, solutions designs, demonstrations and proof of concepts via various mediums
Provide ongoing technical consultation, addressing complex questions and objections with authority and clarity
Translate customer requirements into solution architecture, clearly articulating how our platform solves real-world problems and the insights it generates
Provide excellent customer service anticipating and meeting the needs of the customer head on
Work collaboratively with the Go-To-Market, Operations, Engineering and Product teams to document and improve best practice and processes
Engage in and continuously provide knowledge sharing
Stay up to date with all new developments in Everseen’s technology, Computer vision, Gen AI, and the wider retail technology space
Requirements:
5+ years in technical sales, presales or solution engineering roles working with enterprise level customers and on SaaS based products, solutions or services
Knowledge of and interest in AI and its use in retail
Knowledge and experience of the retail market
Experience of advanced data analytics
Experience of forecasting and tracking key account metrics in a business development team
Experience of developing relationships, communicating and working with customers at a technical level
Strong verbal and communication skills
Expectation of travel
Extensive experience working with Linux systems, including Bash scripting, package management, and log analysis
Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman, and have hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration, Helm charts, and multi-tenant policies
Solid knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and are capable of defining hardware requirements for CPU, RAM, GPU, and storage sizing
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing
Familiar with retail POS systems (NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, Toshiba, Oracle) and their integration with back-office solutions, as well as PCI DSS compliance and peripheral hardware (scanners, printers, SCOs, EFT terminals)
Exposure to cloud and hybrid edge deployments, including monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Power BI
Comfortable with security best practices, including SELinux, Kubernetes RBAC, secrets management, VPN tunneling, and log management
Strong solution design and pre-sales skills, including requirements gathering, creating technical architectures, presenting demos/POCs, and building customer-ready documentation and BOMs
Familiarity with automation tools, especially Ansible experience
Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Jira, Power BI
