As a Presales Engineer, your role sits right in the middle of that intersection. You’re not just selling products—you’re translating complex networking solutions into real business value. That means working closely with customers to understand their challenges (like scalability, security, or hybrid work), then designing solutions using HPE’s portfolio. Day to day, the job involves: Partnering with account managers to support deals technically; Leading product demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts; Designing network architectures (campus, data center, edge, cloud); Explaining how solutions improve performance, security, and cost efficiency; Staying current on trends like AI-driven networking and zero trust security; The culture tends to reward curiosity and adaptability—you’re expected to keep learning, because both customer needs and networking technologies evolve quickly. Working in HPE Networking as a Presales Engineer means being a trusted technical advisor - helping customers make confident decisions while bridging the gap between cutting-edge networking tech and practical business outcomes. Your ability to combine technical know-how and market intelligence grants you a position as an ambassador and technical expert. You will be the driving force behind the overall portfolio knowledge in all dimensions within your assigned customer territory. Client/customer relationship: Maintain excellent communications with customers and partners in assigned customer or expertise area; Represents HPE Networking as a technical expert in customer and partner meetings, forums or other events; Drives opportunities with effective consultative techniques; Builds customer loyalty through becoming a trusted advisor; Partners effectively with others in the account team to ensure customer satisfaction; The role will require business travels in Sweden (around 1-2 days/week); Solution Planning and Design: Building a strong technical expertise within certain areas of the HPE Networking portfolio; Develop a good understanding of the overall HPE Networking portfolio; Acquire at least one Expert certification; Adapt proposal and design to customer requirements; Establishes the validity of a solution and its components; Identifies the growth path and scalability options of a solution for long term architectural positioning; Articulate and clarify key aspects to implementation plans and setting expectations; Team collaboration: You are a team player who actively supports the account team with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications; Analyzes and provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed; Transfers knowledge to peers via mentoring and actively participation in education programs; Understands the roles and effectively engages other teams and resources within the company and partners; Facilitates a smooth transition from sales to implementation projects and design; If you are… Fluent in Swedish and English which are the 2 working languages; Holding an Engineering or University degree or extensive experience in designing and supporting complex enterprise networks; Ideally having at least 3-6 years’ experience on the Solution Architect/System Engineer/Presales role, mainly acquired with a manufacturer and/or an integrator; Excellent in communication, presentation and negotiation; Having good knowledge on HPE networking latest technologies and solutions, as well as competitive solutions; Able to understand technical innovations and trends, customer value chains and business requirements; Join us and make your mark! Requirements
