Job Responsibility:

  • Customer-facing consulting – Understand technical and business needs, design tailored HPE Storage solutions, and articulate their value to a variety of stakeholders
  • Technical sales support – Create and deliver architecture designs, solution proposals, and business cases that clearly demonstrate competitive advantage
  • Proof of Concept & demos – Lead product demonstrations, PoCs, and performance benchmarks to support the customer decision process
  • Partner engagement – Build and maintain strategic relationships with channel partners and system integrators, including enablement and certification activities
  • Storytelling & value selling – Present complex storage technologies in a clear, compelling way to audiences from IT management to C-level
  • Market & competitive insight – Capture customer and partner feedback and feed it into product management and R&D to help shape innovation
  • Industry presence – Represent HPE Storage at customer workshops, industry forums, and technical events as a trusted subject matter expert

Requirements:

  • A technical degree or equivalent education
  • 5+ years in IT, with strong experience in technical presales or consulting focused on enterprise storage
  • Solid expertise in storage technologies (arrays, data protection, backup & recovery, hybrid/multi-cloud architectures)
  • Familiarity with adjacent technologies such as virtualization, networking, public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), and data management solutions
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including active listening, whiteboarding, storytelling, and objection handling
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently in both German (fluent) and English (proficient)
  • Passion for innovation, customer success, and translating technology into tangible business outcomes
