Job Responsibility

  • Working with the Senior Business Development Manager, the Prepaid Account Manager will work with the Prepaid team and other Currys functions to develop and grow client relationships in the Gift Card sector
  • Develop existing relationships to ensure we maximise opportunities by growing strong and lasting relationships and search out new ones from target sectors
  • Deliver sales and margin targets
  • Management and development of multiple corporate accounts across a number of channels including B2B, Not for Profit, Employee Savings, Salary Sacrifice, Reward & Incentive
  • Identify and develop new clients
  • Open up new channels and revenue opportunities
  • Communicate requirements of the account base to the wider team giving guidance on system and proposition development required
  • Attendance of industry networking events and GCVA membership events

Requirements

  • A good understanding of the UK gift card and voucher market, suppliers, clients and retailers
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the gift card market
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage several different stakeholders, at all levels
  • Strong communication, written, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Good facilitation and influencing skills to enable successful outcome completion
  • Advanced planning, organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, capable of presenting to clients, team forums as well as working cross functionally to achieve the desired results
  • Detail-oriented problem-solving skills
  • Customer champion with excellent commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs
  • Extensive experience of working to deadlines and managing critical paths
  • Experience within a commercial or performance driving environment, driving performance within an account manager and sales role
  • Good knowledge of adjacent markets and competitors (Retail, Services and Technology)
  • Good knowledge of Currys UK&I, commercial (profit) models and operating models
  • Experience working within a Financial Services organisation, FMCG or retailer
  • Good working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as MS Office workflow tools
