Job Description:

Are you a passionate educator who loves the Foundation years but thrives in a team-teaching environment? Our client is a modern, forward-thinking Primary School in the Northern Suburbs seeking a dedicated Prep Teacher to join their growing community. This is a unique "third teacher" role designed to provide high-level support across our two existing Prep classes. Rather than being isolated in a single classroom, you will work collaboratively across the Prep space, ensuring every student receives the attention and tailored instruction they need during these crucial early years. This position is full time - 5 days a week with a full teaching load.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to Foundation students in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning
  • Collaborate daily with the Prep team to plan, assess, and implement the Victorian Curriculum
  • Foster a "Learning Without Limits" environment where curiosity and joy are at the center of the classroom
  • Engage with families and caregivers to support the transition to school for our youngest learners

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is highly preferred (Provisional applicants with strong references may be considered)
  • A deep understanding of early childhood development and evidence-based practice in primary education
  • A proven ability to work in a collaborative, "open-plan" or flexible learning environment
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs
