Job Responsibility

  • helping to prepare food for the next meal service, including chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes
  • ensuring all procedures are conducted following required health department and company regulations
  • checking all food temperatures prior to meal service
  • garnishing all plates before they leave the kitchen area
  • assisting with other kitchen functions as necessary, including dishwasher, utilities, line cook, prep cook

Requirements

  • must have relevant food preparation or cooking experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to understand and follow English instructions
  • adherence to health department regulations and company policies
  • strong attention to detail and reliability
  • willingness to work one weekend day per week
  • ability to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment
  • experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area
  • experience working in a restaurant, catering facility, hospital, hospitality, healthcare or similar food services related industry as a plus
  • ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management
