The Prep Cook (AM/PM) is responsible for ensuring the kitchen is ready for service by preparing ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the culinary arts who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions
Follow standardized recipes and plating guides
Assist with making sauces, dressings, marinades, and other prep tasks as directed
Restock prep stations during service as needed
Ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and storage areas
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and leadership to ensure smooth operations
Support line cooks and chefs during service as required
Requirements:
Prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
