Job Description:

The Preform Production Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, particularly in a Preform manufacturing Plant. This position involves operating machinery that produces preforms, which are used in the bottling of our Products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Machine Operation: Operate and monitor injection molding machines to produce high-quality preforms. Ensure that machines are set up correctly and function efficiently
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of preforms to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the production process
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Report on any mechanical issues to the maintenance team promptly
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety among team members
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production logs, documenting quantities produced, machine performance, and any issues encountered during the production process

Requirements:

  • HND/BSc or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience on high-speed production equipment
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to demonstrate basic Technical, troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills
  • Sound understanding and appreciation of maintenance and process operations
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately
