Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions; Trent Precast Concrete Ltd. The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team. Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham.

Job Responsibility:

  • Reporting to the Operative Supervisor
  • Working to drawings handed out and setting up precast units with accordance to as shown and within tolerances
  • Achieving daily targets and working to tight deadlines
  • Ensuring all work is up to a high standard and meets process requirements
  • Adapting and recycling knowledge to work efficiently
  • Have the ability to learn new processes.
  • Safe and accurate production of lattice planks, wall panels, and balcony units within a precast manufacturing facility
  • Preparing and setting out moulds, installing shutters and formwork components
  • Positioning lattice girders, reinforcement steel, cast in fixings, conduits, sockets, lifting equipment, and other inserts according to specification
  • Applying release agents, checking dimensions and tolerances, carrying out visual inspections

Requirements:

  • Experience within a precast manufacturing facility essential
  • Experienced with the technical ability to set up precast units and work to processes
  • Ability to read manufacture drawings
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

  • Carry out daily checks and support safe lifting operations in the yard and factory
  • Conduct daily pre-use checks on cranes and lifting equipment, reporting any defects immediately
  • Ensure all lifting operations comply with health and safety regulations and site procedures
  • Maintain clear communication at all times, including the use of hand signals and radios where required
  • Support general production and yard activities as needed to meet operational demands
