This strategic technical role bridges the gap between our sales team and our AI Experts (AI Architecture & Data Science teams). As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, you will combine deep technical expertise in enterprise AI platforms and cloud architecture with excellent client-facing skills. Your main focus will be on helping potential clients understand, envision, and adopt the right AI solutions to fit their unique business needs, acting as their trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process. Crucially, you will act as the translator between technical AI architecture and executive strategy — taking complex platform and solution concepts and turning them into compelling commercial value propositions for a C-suite audience. This is a client-facing role that requires periodic travel and on-site presence.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with clients and internal account teams to uncover AI priorities, business challenges, and strategic goals
Design and present enterprise AI solution architectures tailored to client needs
Own the technical workstream of the AI sales cycle from initial discovery through to close
Develop a strong command of SDG’s AI portfolio and apply that knowledge to identify expansion opportunities
Stay current with the fast-moving AI and GenAI landscape
Represent SDG at AI industry events, hyperscaler partner conferences, and client briefings
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, cloud architecture, technical consulting, or related fields, with a background that demonstrates hands-on delivery and technical depth
Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or client-facing advisory roles is preferred but not mandatory
Solid understanding of enterprise AI solution design — including AI platform selection, cloud-based infrastructure, and GenAI/agentic application patterns
Hands-on familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and at least one hyperscaler AI platform is required: Azure AI Foundry, AWS SageMaker, or GCP Vertex AI
Broader hyperscaler exposure (Azure, AWS, GCP) is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to build trust and engage confidently with both technical teams and C-level executives
Working knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI applications, and agentic AI patterns in enterprise contexts
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field
Nice to have:
Experience creating solution blueprints, architectural frameworks, or reusable technology accelerators that can be adapted across client engagements
Cloud or AI architecture certifications are a strong plus
Experience working effectively across distributed teams and multiple geographies
