We are looking for a detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Paralegal to support a busy personal injury practice in Pennsylvania. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can manage pre-suit matters efficiently, keep files moving, and help ensure important case activity stays on track. The role focuses primarily on premises liability and motor vehicle accident matters, with close collaboration across a growing legal team.
Job Responsibility
Open and organize new personal injury files, ensuring each matter is accurately documented and properly established from the outset
Obtain key case materials such as police reports, medical records, and related supporting documentation needed to evaluate claims
Prepare demand packages and draft client, provider, and insurer correspondence to advance pre-litigation matters effectively
Monitor case progress closely, maintain deadlines, and follow up on outstanding items so files continue moving without delay
Support attorneys with case development for matters involving premises liability and automobile accident claims
Use case management systems to maintain complete, current records and track important updates throughout the life of each file
Assist with files that advance from attempted settlement into litigation by helping ensure documentation is complete and ready for attorney review
Requirements
2-5 years of paralegal experience handling personal injury matters, preferably in a pre-litigation setting
Working knowledge of premises liability and motor vehicle accident case processes
Experience requesting and reviewing police reports, medical records, and other claim-related documentation
Ability to draft demands, legal correspondence, and case-related letters with accuracy and professionalism
Familiarity with case management software and the ability to keep files organized in a high-volume environment
Understanding of discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation concepts as they relate to personal injury matters
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
