We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-level professional to serve as the primary interface for all project bids throughout North America. This role is essential for orchestrating complex estimates of varying scopes and values by collaborating closely with our Sales, Project Management, and Construction teams. You will be the technical lead responsible for ensuring our bids are accurate, competitive, and fully aligned with the unique requirements of steel and fabric structure projects.
Job Responsibility:
Create and maintain precise project cost estimates, including statements of work, labor-hour projections, and detailed narratives
Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Construction teams to define Work Scopes and ensure that budgets accurately reflect labor, material, and equipment costs
Manage the Change Order process in line with Management of Change (MoC) protocols to address scope creep and project delays
Analyze subcontractor bid submissions and vendor documents to verify accuracy and productivity factors
Maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs and rates to enhance the precision of future project bids
Facilitate the internal review process for cost estimates, gathering comments and securing necessary approvals before submission
Requirements:
A minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience in construction estimating is required
Proven experience with steel structures is an absolute necessity
A post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
Expert-level knowledge of Construction Estimating Software and the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong ability to interpret complex construction drawings, contractual documents, and project schedules

Must be local to Edmonton and possess a valid passport with the ability to qualify for US entry
