Job Description:

A well-established and forward-thinking GP practice in West Leeds is looking to recruit a Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team for up to 37.5 hours per week. The practice serves approximately 20,000 patients across multiple sites and works closely with neighbouring practices. Our clinical team includes 5 GP partners, 10 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 3 nurses and 5 HCAs. We use SystmOne and consistently achieve high performance across QOF, DES, LES and vaccination programmes. This role would suit a Practice Nurse seeking flexible hours while working within a dynamic and collaborative clinical team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Management of long-term conditions including Diabetes, COPD, Asthma and CVD/CHD
  • Cervical screening
  • Adult and childhood immunisations and injections
  • Venepuncture and ECGs
  • Wound care and dressing management, including compression therapy
  • Supporting lifestyle change and patient self-management
  • Maintaining disease registers and participating in clinical audits
  • Ensuring safe vaccine storage and infection control procedures

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Experience managing long-term conditions
  • Full driving licence

Nice to have:

  • Previous GP practice experience
  • Experience using SystmOne
