Job Description:

Locum Practice Nurse – Nottingham Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse, to support a GP Surgery in the Nottingham area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct annual reviews in line with QoF standards, including: Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, IHD, Stroke, CKD
  • Perform cervical cytology (smears)
  • Administer vaccinations and immunisations (including childhood programmes)
  • Undertake wound care and dressing changes
  • Carry out phlebotomy (bloods)
  • Perform ECGs
  • Conduct contraception checks, including depot injections

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Previous experience working within GP/primary care settings
  • Competent across all listed clinical duties

  • A diploma from a recognized school and valid license with the OIIAQ, in order to practice according to provincial regulations
  • 6 months of full-time experience as an LPN/RPN (also called auxiliary nurse or Nursing Assistant)
