Graduation from an accredited Licensed/Registered Practical Nursing Program
current registration with the provincial licensing body
Valid CPR certification is obligatory
At least two years of recent experience
Have either a reliable mode of transportation (bus, train, etc) OR a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for commuting
A clear police criminal record and able to get a Vulnerable Sector Screening if required

Job Responsibility

Adheres to the established plan of care to provide high quality care to clients and their families with compassion, excellence and reliability
Ensure that client’s emotional, physical comfort and safety are of their top priority and in accordance with Bayshore policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice
Participate in ongoing training and provide support and direction to paraprofessional staff members involved in client care visits
Work directly with members of both the English and French communities

Requirements

A diploma from a recognized school and valid license with the OIIAQ, in order to practice according to provincial regulations
6 months of full-time experience as an LPN/RPN (also called auxiliary nurse or Nursing Assistant)
CPR training an asset. (may be completed at time of hire / prior to first assignment)
Excellent command of spoken and written French
Fluency in English an asset
Has a reliable means of transport (bus, train, etc.) OR a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel
No criminal record and be able to obtain a vulnerable sector check, if applicable
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as directed by Health Canada (e.g., two doses of a two-dose vaccine series or one dose of a single-dose vaccine series)
