Job Responsibility:
Maintain regular communication with and act as a resource for, practice assessors, supervisors, academic assessors, facilitators / educators, and students / apprentices to share routine information
Work collaboratively with course teams, placement support team, and external partners to ensure concerns are managed promptly to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
Monitor placement quality using established checklists / evaluations and report concerns / propose solutions to the Practice Lead
Support Practice Learning Environment audits by providing information and completing standard forms in accordance with university policy and school procedures and assist in the onboarding of new placements to expand placement capacity
Facilitate communication regarding student progress, assessments, and reasonable adjustments referring concerns to the appropriate university contact
Attend Practice Facilitator meetings to review evaluations, audits, and action plans
Support students / apprentices in linking theory to practice by Identifying learning opportunities, promoting self-reflection, assisting in placement preparation in collaboration with course teams and placement staff and support assessment requirements. e.g. use of Practice Assessment Documents
Visit placement areas and meet students and Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors in the clinical setting, providing timely and empathetic support to students / apprentices throughout their placement experience, referring to Student Services, Personal Academic Tutor / Academic Assessor as appropriate
Provide feedback to course teams on placement experiences to contribute to curriculum planning
Act as a personal academic tutor and academic assessor
Assist in the development, delivery, and evaluation of preparation for practice assessors, supervisors, and academic assessors under the supervision of, and in partnership with, the university lead / Practice Lead
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job
participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training
Take steps to ensure and enhance personal health, safety, and well-being and that of other staff and students

Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Nursing
A current registration as NMC as a Registered Nurse
Experience supporting students and facilitating inclusive practice in clinical setting
Experience of working and supporting learning and teaching in a clinical environment
Experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Understanding of NMC Standards for student supervision and assessment (SSSA) and clinical placement requirements
Understanding of NMC Standards of Proficiency, assessment of practice learning and the application of Practice Assessment Documents
Knowledge of approaches to placement monitoring and evaluation
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with competence in using digital tools for communication and data management
Ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and external partners
The ability to work flexibly including evenings, early morning, and occasional weekend work
Ability to analyse data and identify trends
Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a discreet and tactful manner
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
Willingness to travel to placement sites as required
Applicants must have current UK professional registration

Fellowship of the Advance HE or willingness to achieve
