Job Responsibility:
Take full responsibility for the local marketing function, reporting directly to the Market Manager
Establish close relationships with local media, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and PR partners to create productive PR opportunities for the stores, promoting positive brand exposure in the local area and achieving greater market impact
Understand the Primary Market Area (PMA) and align with CN market strategies to develop store plans that strengthen IKEA’s leadership in the home sector within the local market, positioning it as the preferred brand for home furnishings
Collaborate closely with the IKEA FAMILY team and in-store commercial teams to create synergies in local marketing communications, increasing store visitors to drive sales growth
Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient resource use and maximize return on investment
Drive and enhance the team’s expertise and capabilities, promoting overall growth and development.
Requirements:
Expertise in market and public affairs, with over 3 years of experience in marketing and communication, and a keen understanding of brand dynamics
Familiarity with local Yunnan market and media, coupled with experience in collaboration with media, business, and associations, enabling strong and sustained connections
Excellent external communication skills, including the ability to address issues and manage crisis communications as well as reputation risks
A creative mindset, strong analytical abilities, and sound judgement
Successful experience in leading team
Outstanding English skills, with a strong identification with the IKEA brand, culture, and values.
