UIL is seeking a junior consultant to support the implementation of UIL’s communication strategy. The overarching goal of the Institute’s communication strategy is to put the right to education for learners of all ages at the heart of social, political and economic agendas. Effectively communicating UIL’s vision, programmes, data, knowledge and impact to and with diverse stakeholders is key to shifting public policy, fuelling social engagement and increasing resources for lifelong learning.
Job Responsibility:
Uploading content to the UIL website in English, French, Spanish
Developing social media assets to promote UIL’s work
Compiling a bi-monthly newsletter
Editing video messages and event recordings
Monitoring implementation of UIL’s communication strategy
Coordinate the development of a new database, displaying UIL activities by country and ensuring translation
Monitor running of website and trouble-shoot challenges
Update UIL online collections of case studies
Develop four new landing pages for flagship projects
Download from Shutterstock and integrate into the UIL photobank at least 100 images
Contribute to conceptualizing social media campaigns on flagship initiatives
Prepare 10 social media assets and captions for flagship initiatives monthly
Coordinate translation of social media assets
Draft at least 4 human focused stories, showcasing the impact of UIL’s work
Design the stories via Pageflow
Ensure integration of stories into UIL’s website
Edit 2 video messages a month
Edit 9 event recordings a month
Upload videos to UIL YouTube Channel and integrate into the UIL website
Monitor social media, website and newsletter performance and provide a monthly report
Requirements:
Master’s degree in communication, public relations, adult education, international relations, education, or any other related fields
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in public relations, ideally within the field of education, lifelong learning, or international cooperation
Previous experience in planning and implementing public relations activities, including website management with Drupal 9 and social media management
Proven experience in implementing public relations activities across different world regions
Familiarity with lifelong learning, adult education, or education systems across UNESCO Member States
Excellent writing skills
Ability to collect, synthesize, and analyse information from various sources and convey succinct messages
Ability to communicate sensitively, effectively, and creatively across different constituencies
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and experience in social media outreach
Strong skills in graphic design and experience with Drupal 9
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and good knowledge of either French or Spanish
