Job Description

The US PR and Media Relations team is currently hiring a PR and Media Relations Senior Manager, US to join us on a 7-month contract. Our team is responsible for the implementation of strategic PR initiatives to build PA's profile with national and specialist media in PA's target sectors and services in the US. As a successful candidate, you have the ability to understand the role of media relations within the wider communications mix and drive successful results aligned to business objectives and campaigns. The right candidate will influence and inspire confidence at a senior level in PA and comfortably sell ideas to journalists. You also have strong relationships across the US business media and good networking skills to develop new relationships among target media. Due to the busy and highly demanding nature of the role, the right candidate will be a high-energy PR manager who can work to deadlines, multi-task and prioritize their workload. Being a self-starter is vital and you must have the tenacity, drive, and initiative to manage PA's variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years media relations experience
  • strong track record in energy & utilities, transport, healthcare & life sciences (subject matter expertise in at least one) or professional services
  • experience using research and thought leadership for PR campaigns
  • ability to identify, adapt, and write content for media
  • track record of delivering tangible media results across national, trade, broadcast media and podcasts
  • ability to understand role of media relations within wider communications mix
  • ability to critically review and edit content
  • degree level or equivalent
  • preference for accredited PR/communications qualification
