This role will be responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of PR activity for tourist boards, hotels and tourism. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised and able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team to deliver impactful media coverage across print, digital and broadcast channels. The role includes responsibility for managing media relations, pitching, journalist hosting programmes and the delivery of PR events such as media lunches, experiential stunts and briefings. In addition, this role will have line management responsibility for a PR Executive, supporting their development and ensuring consistently high standards of delivery across all PR activity. The PR Account Manager will play a key role in shaping PR strategy, mentoring junior team members and ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for developing and implementing the UK PR strategy
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key UK media contacts
Running the UK press office
Managing famil programmes including collaboration with key partners
Generating campaign ideas and managing them end to end
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders
Attend events on behalf of clients
Organise project related events
Provide monthly reports on coverage and activity
Report hero coverage and flagship projects
Lead performance reviews with clients
Develop relationships with relevant Government Departments in London
Manage the PR budget on behalf of clients
Provide advice and respond to issues that could impact clients' reputations
Line manage a PR Executive
Support the professional growth of junior team members
Oversee workload planning and prioritisation
Review and quality-check press materials
Support onboarding and training of new team members
Contribute to building a positive team culture
Travel to Australia and other destinations
Contribute to new business development
Support and lead elements of RFP responses and pitch presentations
Mentor junior team members involved in pitch preparation and delivery
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in PR, including at least 2 years at PR Account Manager or Senior Account Executive level
Experience of line managing, mentoring or coaching junior team members
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident presentation and client-facing skills
Tenacious and solutions-focused, able to work autonomously
Proactive and driven to exceed client expectations and deliver outstanding results
Ability to travel in Europe and worldwide as required
Strong work ethic and collaborative team approach
