R.Power is a leading independent renewable energy producer in Poland and other European markets: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Romania. Since 2012, we have been at the forefront of the energy transition, offering solutions across the entire renewable energy value chain: developing, commercializing, and constructing renewable energy assets. Our portfolio includes photovoltaics (PV, our main technology), wind power, and large-scale energy storage systems (BESS). R.Power is one of the largest independent renewable energy companies in Europe. Due to the company’s growth, we are looking for: PPA and BESS Offtake Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and implementation the offtake strategy considering available routes to market including medium- and long-term offtake with both utility and corporate off-takers, governmental offtake auctions and merchant structures to maximise top-line value creation in line with the financing strategy
  • Working with the internal teams – structured finance, development and others to create solutions that optimise funding opportunities and enable project development
  • Gathering market insight, structuring new business transactions, networking with energy off-takers and business partners
  • Actively identifying and approaching energy investment-grade off-takers (both energy utilities and potential corporate clients) interested in renewable energy and/or BESS offtake
  • Structuring of offtake deals in terms of key commercial terms, settlement mechanics, guarantee structures etc.
  • Managing cooperation with external business and legal advisors as well as cooperate with internal legal team
  • Reporting offtake performance
  • Actively supporting asset management or financial function related to offtake settlement and revenue management
  • Being involved in solving and delivering offtake compliance issues
  • Presenting findings to the management team
  • Understand developments in the European markets and energy policy and the impact these will have on revenue side of the company
  • Help internal team understand revenue opportunities

Requirements:

  • Strong competencies in power market incl. in-depth understanding of energy trading and / or renewable energy/BESS offtake origination
  • Successful track record at managing project and business development
  • Experience in working with privately-owned enterprises as well as international environment, preferably at multinational utilities or advisory businesses
  • Fit to dynamic organizational culture, is hands-on and implementation oriented
  • The ability to independently manage projects and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and have the confidence to both liaise with energy off-takers and collaborate across R.Power team
  • Being comfortable with conducting both primary (interviews, surveys) and secondary (desk-based) market research
  • Education in finance, legal or technical faculties

  • participation in RES auctions or similar systems generating or guaranteeing revenues for photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind (ONW), and battery energy storage systems (BESS) belonging to entities from the R.Power Group
  • drafting and negotiating market access electricity sales agreements
  • participating in capacity and frequency market auctions for PV, OWF, and BESS performance of offtake agreements
  • exercising rights and obligations related to participation in support systems, capacity markets, frequency markets, etc.
  • legal management of performance of obligations under regulations concerning the energy market, the RES market, REMIT and EMIR, and other legal regulations related to agreements and support instruments in the area of commercialization of assets of entities from the R.Power Group
  • other legal and regulatory aspects of the participation of R.Power Group entities in the electricity market
  • monitoring regulations concerning the generation of revenue from PV and ONW energy production and from energy storage in BESS, both national and European regulations, and active participation in the regulatory work of the R.Power regulatory team
  • the above areas of responsibility will apply to all countries in which the R.Power Group operates
