The Power BI Developer will play a key role in enabling data driven decision making across ABL Group by designing, developing, and maintaining high quality dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Working closely with stakeholders across our Business Segments and our shared services, you will translate business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable reporting solutions. You will be part of our Group IT & Digital function, collaborating with Data Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Managers to ensure insight delivery is aligned with ABL Groups broader digital, data, and governance strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights to business stakeholders across ABL Group
Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and self-service analytics tools
Build and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query for performance and usability
Connect to various data sources (e.g. NetSuite, Zoho CRM, SagePeople, SharePoint, Excel, SQL databases) and ensure data integrity
Collaborate with the Business Systems and Data Governance teams to align reporting with enterprise data definitions and standards
Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives
Automate data refresh schedules and ensure reliability of published reports
Provide technical support and training to end users on Power BI usage and best practices
Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and processes
Deploy and manage Power BI solutions within the Power BI Service, ensuring appropriate access, refresh schedules, and lifecycle management
Monitor and optimize report performance, addressing performance bottlenecks and improving responsiveness
Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI related issues, including data refresh failures, model errors, and performance concerns
Maintain clear documentation covering data models, calculations, report logic, and development standards
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and access control policies
Requirements:
Educated to bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
Microsoft certifications in Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL 300) or equivalent
Demonstratable experience writing and maintaining DAX calculations and measures
Experience working with structured and semi structured data from multiple sources, including databases and business systems
Familiarity with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Zoho CRM, SagePeople, or similar
Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling concepts, including star and snowflake schemas
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Microsoft Power BI Developer or Architect Professional certificates are desirable
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or similar cloud data platforms is beneficial
