Job Description

The Power Washing Technician supports the Engineering team by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of the hotel’s exterior areas. This role is responsible for power washing building facades, walkways, pool decks, patios, and other outdoor surfaces to ensure a welcoming environment consistent with Hyatt brand standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform scheduled and project‑based power washing of exterior building surfaces, sidewalks, curbs, pool decks, patios, loading docks, and other assigned areas
  • Operate power washing equipment, surface cleaners, hoses, and related tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Remove dirt, mildew, algae, gum, stains, and debris from a variety of surfaces including concrete, brick, siding, and stone
  • Set up appropriate safety signage, cones, and barriers to protect guests and colleagues during cleaning operations
  • Inspect surfaces before and after cleaning to ensure quality and adherence to Hyatt cleanliness standards
  • Mix, apply, and store approved cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
  • Assist with general exterior upkeep, including debris removal and light grounds support as needed
  • Report maintenance issues, surface damage, or safety hazards to Engineering leadership promptly
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting to ensure reliability
  • Support seasonal deep‑cleaning initiatives, special events, and property‑wide exterior refresh projects
  • Uphold Hyatt’s commitment to safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction in all tasks

Requirements

  • Previous experience in power washing, exterior cleaning, or facilities maintenance preferred
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain power washing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings, to minimize guest impact
