Job Description

You will have exciting opportunities to work on varied electrical projects with voltages ranging from LV through to 132kV. Schemes include Large Scale Solar, Battery Storage and Gas generation facilities for a broad selection of clients. You will work as part of a highly successful team to review Distribution Network Operator (DNO) contestable connection offers and compile power system studies for grid connections. This will include power system analysis & modelling, load flow and voltage profile analysis, reactive power stability, short-circuit analysis, voltage disturbance and harmonic assessment. It will also be essential for you to keep to safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications. The role will require you to report to the Design Delivery Manager and you should have a high regard for safety.

  • Maintain and develop competent skills to ensure delivery to high standard

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Good IT skills with experience in PSSE / digsilent / IPSA
  • 5 years experience as a Power Systems Engineer
  • Ability to lead, learn and adapt to the role effectively.

  • At least 1 year proven Power System Engineering experience in a systems / power electronics role, ideally in the Space or Aerospace Industries though equivalent experience with complex electronic systems will be considered
