Job Description:

Power Systems Engineer role within a global engineering consultancy. The engineer will be part of a technical team working on innovative energy projects across the UK, providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, owners, and operators. Projects include thermal power plants, battery storage, solar, wind, pumped storage hydro, and carbon capture.

Requirements:

A good degree in Power Systems Engineering
A deep understanding of power systems and their design. Analysis of transients, load flow, harmonics and stability
Significant experience, post-qualification, in power engineering and analysis within a consultancy, industrial, utility or equipment manufacturer organisation
Competent in the use of modelling software such as Power Factory, ETAP, IPSA or Dig-silent
Experience with the undertaking of feasibility studies and detailed design reviews
Full driving licence – able to travel in the UK and occasionally, for short durations, the EU
Living in the Greater Manchester area, or willing to relocate
Full right to work in the UK
