We are looking for an experienced Power Platform Consultant to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Power Platform tools to design, implement, and optimize governance frameworks, workflows, and reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data protection, and security practices, with a focus on delivering sustainable solutions that empower internal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement governance frameworks for the Microsoft Power Platform, including environment strategies, security models, licensing approaches, and data loss prevention policies
Maintain detailed inventories and documentation for Power Platform environments, applications, workflows, reports, and data sources to facilitate effective risk management and change enablement
Evaluate existing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to address performance, scalability, and maintainability issues, optimizing data design and deployment practices
Streamline and modernize Power BI environments and reporting architecture, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, role-based access and reduced fragmentation
Conduct high-level reviews of SharePoint Online governance and security, providing actionable recommendations to support future Microsoft Copilot adoption
Partner with business and finance teams to align reporting systems with organizational goals and improve insight delivery
Ensure all solutions meet compliance, data protection, and security standards in regulated environments
Create clear and actionable documentation that enables internal teams to maintain and extend Power Platform solutions
Provide hands-on support to guide the organization toward a sustainable and well-governed Power Platform foundation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business needs and drive impactful outcomes
Requirements:
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse
Proven ability to establish and manage Power Platform governance frameworks in complex or regulated environments
Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and data protection principles, including role-based access methodologies
Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and usable resources
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence technologies and Microsoft Power Platform tools
Nice to have:
Familiarity with nonprofit, human services, or resource-constrained environments is a plus
Preferred certifications include PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, or other relevant Microsoft Power Platform and security certifications
