Job Description

You will be part of a critical modernization effort to replace the legacy Liquidation Claims Processing System (LCP) used by the Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation (DRL). The new system will streamline claims processing for insolvent insurance companies, improve workflow automation, enhance stakeholder communication, and ensure compliance with statutory and security requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power Pages (Power Apps Portals) to support public-facing and internal portals for claimants, vendors, and internal staff
  • Implement secure, role-based access portals supporting both anonymous and authenticated users
  • Develop and customize portal pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templates to meet business requirements
  • Integrate portals with Azure AD B2C for identity and access management
  • Ensure portals comply with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Implement file upload capabilities and manage document handling within the portal
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, backend developers, and project managers to deliver a seamless user experience
  • Support data ingestion and migration efforts by integrating portal data with backend systems
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide timely issue resolution
  • Maintain documentation related to portal development and configuration
  • Adhere to cybersecurity and data security standards as outlined by the Department

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing Power Pages/Power Apps Portals
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language
  • Experience with Azure AD B2C for authentication and authorization
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and experience implementing accessible web portals
  • Experience implementing file upload functionality in Power Pages
  • Familiarity with integrating Power Pages with backend systems and APIs
  • Understanding of security best practices for web applications, including encryption and role-based access control
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with insurance claims processing systems or government/public sector projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem including Power Automate and Power BI
  • Knowledge of data migration and integration best practices
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
