Job Description

CSI Mining Services are seeking experienced Power Generation Electrician to join our team for current and future opportunities. This role is a full time position and can allow you to grow your skill set with on-site training and the opportunity to develop your career on the tools and as a leader. This role will be a 2/1, day shift only roster, FIFO out of Perth, as a Roaming Power Generation Electrician for the CSI Power Generation Team covering several sites in the Pilbara Region.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate and maintain gas reciprocating engines and power generation equipment
  • Operate instrumentation and process control systems
  • Undertake routine inspections and maintenance on the power station ancillary equipment
  • Monitor power station operations via SCADA and other software-based systems, ensuring that the site is operating as required, including identifying any short- or long-term plant reliability issues, or improvement opportunities that may be present
  • Undertake typical housekeeping duties
  • Maintain stock inventory
  • Supervise and support other MRL employees and/or contractors conducting works within the power station, ensuring MRL HSE policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Participate in On Call activities when rostered on site, ensuring prompt response is given to any issue that may arise after hours
  • Conduct routine maintenance to site assets as and when required

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to work autonomously in remote location areas
  • Extensive experience and sound knowledge of power systems and control circuitry
  • Previous experience in running and maintaining Diesel Generators
  • Knowledge and experience using COMAP Sychonising controllers and systems
  • A high standard of fault finding and troubleshooting ability
  • Extensive experience and sound knowlege of power systems and control circuitry
  • A high standard of fault finding and trouble-shooting ability
  • Australian or Australian recognised Electrical trade qualification
  • Current Electrical License
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
  • Ability to meet pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening requirements
