Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage projects from inception to completion, collaborating with users to transform concepts into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and be eager to contribute to meaningful data-driven solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Design and develop robust data models and reports using Power BI to meet business needs
Implement and manage Power BI access controls and security measures to ensure data integrity
Write complex queries across diverse databases, including SQL Server, MongoDB, and others
Extract and integrate data from APIs to enhance reporting capabilities
Lead project efforts independently, managing timelines and deliverables with limited supervision
Collaborate directly with stakeholders to translate ideas into actionable reports
(Preferred) Build and maintain data warehouses to support advanced analytics and reporting
Stay updated on the latest Power BI advancements and apply them to enhance reporting solutions

Requirements:

Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling and report creation
Comprehensive understanding of Power BI security features and access controls
Advanced skills in writing queries for various databases such as SQL Server and MongoDB
Experience in pulling and integrating data using APIs
Highly self-driven with the ability to manage projects independently
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with end users and stakeholders

Nice to have:

Knowledge of data engineering practices, including data warehouse creation and maintenance
Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and the .NET Framework
