Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This role focuses on creating data-driven insights and designing intuitive dashboards to improve decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and an eye for design, ensuring that analytics solutions are both functional and user-friendly.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to clean, transform, and reshape datasets for analysis
  • Utilize Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data tools to manage and analyze data within cloud environments
  • Write and refine queries to efficiently extract data from cloud-based systems
  • Apply design principles, including layout and color theory, to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards
  • Conduct fraud analysis using data analytics tools to identify and mitigate suspicious activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored data solutions
  • Ensure data integrity through validation processes and thorough analysis
  • Investigate potential fraud cases by leveraging analytics and reporting tools
  • Support ongoing improvements to data workflows and analytics frameworks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Power BI, including expertise in Power Query (M)
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data tools
  • Strong skills in writing and optimizing queries for cloud environments
  • Demonstrated ability to design engaging and effective dashboards using layout and color theory
  • Background in fraud analysis, investigation, or anti-fraud strategies
  • Solid understanding of data integrity principles and validation techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
