Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs
  • Connect and transform data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms) using Power Query
  • Build and maintain robust data models with optimized DAX measures and calculated columns
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards
  • Optimize report performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
  • Maintain documentation for data models, report logic, and data sources
  • Support self-service analytics by training end users on Power BI tools and best practices
  • Work closely with data engineers and architects to align on data pipeline and warehouse standards

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI in a professional environment
  • Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex measures and calculated fields
  • Strong experience with Power Query (M language) for data transformation and cleansing
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, relationships)
  • Experience connecting Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, or REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI workspace/governance best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills — ability to translate business questions into data solutions

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics integration
  • Exposure to Power BI Embedded or paginated reports (SSRS)
  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
