Job Description:

Sopra Steria is looking for a skilled Technical Architect with expertise in Power BI and Azure services to join its BI architecture team. The position involves designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Power BI Service, integrating services with corporate tools, and overseeing secure connectivity to data sources.

Job Responsibility:

Design scalable, secure Power BI solutions aligned with enterprise standards
Manage Azure tenant and Power BI workspace governance for security and compliance
Integrate Power BI with corporate tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, CMDB, ServiceNow)
Test Power BI Desktop releases and coordinate deployment
Develop architecture for service delivery pipelines and monitor performance
Continuously improve Power BI Service by incorporating new features
Support integration with Microsoft On-Premises Data Gateway clusters
Maintain up-to-date documentation of architecture and configurations
Apply DevOps practices for automation related to Power BI
Provide expert advice and collaborate on data integration with Power BI, PowerApps, and Azure Logic Apps
Optimize data queries for performance and train teams on gateway use
Conduct quality assurance for new versions via testing and security reviews
Oversee deployment, workspace configuration, and secure connectivity to data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
Monitor service health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud application security and performance
Use scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years in IT architecture within medium to large environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a multicultural setting
Fluent English
additional European languages a plus
Detail-oriented, proactive, and service-minded

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Jenkins, Ansible, Git
Additional expertise in PowerApps, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Windows Server administration
