The purpose of the Pourer position is to Complete tasks associated with making, setting, pouring and clearing the Asphalt. As a member of the pouring crew at our facility, you will work alongside a team of 5 - 9 employees. The Pourer will report to the Pouring Shed Lead.
Job Responsibility:
Notify your supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on- the -job injury when it occurs no matter how insignificant it may seem
Take personal ownership to work safely each day and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety
Works to achieve zero injuries, zero defects and zero losses
Participates in plant TPM initiatives - completing activities associated with TPM tasks
Zero Defects: works to achieve zero scrap or seconds
Communicate effectively when going on breaks and during shift changes
Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor
Maintain packaging equipment in optimal condition
Visually inspect materials and remove defective materials
Package batches of asphalt products
participate in projects and equipment repairs
Maintaining a safe workplace Keep work area clean
Any other task or duty that is assigned by the Production Leaders
Ensure quarterly color label is applied to all finished goods pallets
Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Plant
Follow up on work orders
Comply with all plant rules
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
Regular Attendance and the ability to rotate varying shifts when needed
All other duties as assigned or needed
Requirements:
Able to think under pressure and make quick decisions
Ability to work well in a team or alone
Able to communicate in English
Good attention to detail
Must be able to learn the responsibilities of this position
Must be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Some manufacturing experience is helpful
Ability to stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
Able to climb and descend stairs for up to 12 hours continuously
Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for 12 hours
Must be able to squat, bend at the waist and knees freely
Exposure to temperature extremes
Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Bending and twisting
Handle, control or feel objects, tools or control
It is a requirement to be a U.S. citizen OR have valid proof of authorization to work in the United States
