Job Description:

To catch poultry in line with the SOP dependent on species.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working within a team to ensure high welfare catching practices are maintained at all times
  • Work to a high health and safety standard, feeding back any ideas for improvement to the site manager
  • Maintain and improve on high levels of poultry welfare and ensure all biosecurity guidelines are adhered to
  • Work closely with line manager and staff on site to ensure all tasks get carried out efficiently and safely
  • To work with staff in a positive, professional manner and be prepared to support the business in a challenging environment
  • To maintain and improve the high level of poultry welfare, including culling when required
  • Ensure all farm bio-security guidance is followed (different site procedures followed)
  • To carry out driving requirements as necessary in line with Line Leader instructions
  • To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require

Requirements:

  • Calm and good-natured temperament
  • Fit and able to carry out physically demanding tasks
  • Full driving license
  • Own transport is essential due to remote location
