Job Description:

Our pouch operators set up and operate our pouch making machines that convert our laminated films into pouches to exceed our customer expectations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Reads job specifications and previous run data to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Sets stops or guides to specified length
  • Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction
  • Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
  • Performs required quality testing on products produced
  • Performs minor machine maintenance
  • Assists and works cooperatively with assistant machine operators
  • Completes required documentation accurately and timely
  • Meets or exceeds prescribed job standard for line speeds, scrap and set-up times
  • Make recommendations to supervision and management for improvement of production
  • Change rolls and cut out splices
  • Keep work area clean
  • Ensure personal compliance with all company policies, procedures, and practices

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of flexible packaging films a plus
  • Possess and fosters a positive attitude of learning and respect
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to take ownership of work and also work as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • Visual acuity to color consistency
  • Manual coordination and dexterity
  • Be able to work safely around operating machinery
  • Ability to work additional overtime if required to get the job tasks completed
