An experienced Application DBA professional with experience ranging from 6-10 yrs in database administration on Aurora (PostgreSQL). An individual contributor and willing to support databases operational and critical activity support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Knowledge of Database Administration and Architecture
  • Experience in Data Replication, Transaction consistency
  • User Access Management and Security audit
  • Database upgradation/Migration along with integration with other RDBMS/non-RDBMS databases from AURORA
  • Administered Production Databases & have knowledge of different HA
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL/Aurora
  • Should have knowledge of database operation task and administration
  • Should have knowledge of upgrade from older to latest versions.
  • Knowledge of Monitoring Tool like Grafana, AWS Cloud watch
  • Should have knowledge of Active-Passive Cluster
  • Support Database Operations with working close to application teams.
  • Should have worked with ticketing tools.
  • Should accomplish OnCall support for Database high priority issues.
  • Should have Support DML operations and performance tuning

Requirements:

  • Expert in PostgreSQL/Aurora DB
  • Database & SQL Performance tuning
  • Experience in configuration of database & operational support
  • Well versed in Memory Architecture, Storage Architecture & Cluster Architecture
  • Working experience on Google or AWS cloud
  • To analyse performance bottlenecks. Identifying issues causing application-functionality slowness
  • Knowledge on PostgreSQL/Aurora Database Architecture
  • Monitor & Participate in Auditing & SOX Compliance activities.
  • Profound knowledge of UNIX, Shell-Scripting and at least one scripting-language (e. g. Perl)
  • To have proficient application database support operations skillset with minimal 4 to 6yrs of experience.
  • To Deliver/Develop environment support/maintenance scripts for atomization, BAU operational activities to smoothen/stabilize system.
  • Telecom Knowledge would be added advantage.
