Job Description

We seek a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen (Germany), to explore mammalian brain function using functional MRI or ultrasound imaging. Our lab combines bioengineering and preclinical in vivo imaging to understand molecular signaling that underlies mammalian brain function.

Job Responsibility

  • Explore mammalian brain function using functional MRI or ultrasound imaging
  • Apply novel genetic tools to study molecular brain function using optical, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging

Requirements

  • Strong background in planning and performing preclinical fMRI or fUSI studies, including data analysis, rodent handling, surgery and behavioral experiments
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Matlab, Python)
  • Additional knowledge of MR physics and sequence development are welcome
  • Strong track record of prior research accomplishments
