The study of tropical flora has been a focus of Kew researchers for several decades, with well-established collaborations across a number of tropical countries. This combined research and project management role forms part of two projects funded by Rio Tinto (RT) – “Improved Forest Carbon Estimates in the Republic of Guinea” – and the Global Centre for Biodiversity and Climate (GCBC) – “Using biodiversity to support climate resilient livelihoods in intact tropical peatlands”.

Requirements:
PhD in geography or sustainable development
Experience conducting fieldwork and research in tropical countries
Proven track record in financial management and reporting
Project management experience
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in spoken and written French
