THE ROLE You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Nanomaterials for Energy and Life Science Research Unit is coordinated by Guglielmo Lanzani. The research focuses on establishing new abiotic/biotic interfaces that enable controlling cell physiology by light.
Job Responsibility:
Handling corals, algae and other marine organisms for experiments
Carry out experiments on those samples and co-operate in the interpretation of the results
Requirements:
A PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technologies, Marine Science, Biology and similar disciplines
Documented experience in handling and studying corals
Good command of spoken and written English
The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
Nice to have:
Experience in collaboration with sea canters, aquaria or similar.
Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset
