Job Description

The Laboratory of Phytomedicines, Pharmacology and Biotechnology (PhytoPharmaTech), Institute of Biosciences, UNESP (São Paulo State University), in partnership with the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical School, UNESP (Sao Paulo State University), Campus Botucatu, are now accepting proposals for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Research with Natural Products in Inflammatory Bowel Disease supported by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation).

Job Responsibility

  • Select patients with inflammatory bowel disease and healthy individuals for evaluation and comparison of miRNA profiles
  • Standardize miRNA analysis using the HD Biomark platform
  • Evaluate a pharmaceutical formulation containing Musa spp AAA as a complementary therapy in patients with ulcerative colitis
  • Assess its effect on modulating the gut microbiota of these patients

Requirements

  • PhD in Cell Biology or related areas (pharmacology, genetics, chemistry)
  • Proven operational experience with pharmacology research with natural products
  • Proven operational experience with conducting trial research
  • Proven operational experience with studies with inflammatory bowel disease
  • Proven operational experience with gut microbiota analysis
  • Proven operational experience with miRNAs analysis
  • Proven operational experience with gene expression using microfluidic analysis
