Job Responsibility:
Lead a research project in an exciting, young & multi-disciplinary group
Contribute to our research activities with your creative input
Write manuscripts, present at scientific conferences, apply for fellowships & contribute to grants
Supervise and support junior members of our team
Requirements:
PhD degree in a relevant subject (e.g. bioinformatics/computational biology, genomics or molecular/cancer/evolutionary biology)
At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal
Strong programming skills (e.g. R or python), experience with bash and a solid understanding of statistics
Experience with next generation sequencing
Self-motivation and proactive mind-set
Excellent verbal and written skills in English is required (German is not required)
Nice to have:
Experience with using pipelines and version control (e.g. NextFlow, Snakemake, GitHub) is a plus
