Job Description:

CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. This role focuses on tackling climate and environmental challenges by applying AI technologies to develop solutions for water science.

Job Responsibility:

  • Investigating and prototyping AI methods including Generative AI and LLMs
  • Designing responsible AI solutions and infrastructure
  • Collaborating with researchers and stakeholders for scalable decision-support services
  • Contributing to publications, demonstrations, and guidance in AI-enabled water science.

Requirements:

  • A doctorate in Computer Science or Data Science, with a focus on Data analytics and Artificial Intelligence
  • Demonstrated experience in data integration and data interoperability challenges in an applied environmental field
  • Experience working with environmental/hydrological data
  • Demonstrated experience working with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) for data-driven applications
  • High level written and oral communication skills with ability to represent research team effectively internally and externally.
