Research projects focus on structural and functional studies of membrane transport proteins that play central roles in physiology and disease. The goal is to apply multidisciplinary approaches, including electrophysiology, biochemical and biophysical assays, and structural biology, to advance understanding of structure and function of these essential membrane proteins at the atomic level and establish new foundations for rational therapies.
Job Responsibility:
Molecular biology experiments
Purification of membrane transport proteins for structural and functional studies
Structure determination of membrane transport proteins using single-particle cryo-electron microscopy
Biochemical and biophysical assays to understand underlying molecular mechanisms
Analysis of experimental results
Participation in manuscript preparation and grant writing
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field
Experience in membrane protein biochemistry and cryo-EM structure determination and analysis
