Job Responsibility:

Development of a novel technique for time-resolved X-Ray absorption spectroscopy based on diffractive X-Ray optics
Design of the diffractive X-Ray optical elements, and their fabrication by nanolithography techniques
Implementation of the method at the Aramis undulator of the SwissFEL facility, including the realization of pilot experiments

Requirements:

PhD degree in physics or engineering
Experience in diffractive optics, nanofabrication technology, time-resolved spectroscopy, X-Ray Free Electron Lasers (XFELs) or synchrotron radiation
Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary, multinational research environment
Enthusiastic researcher
Good team player
