Job Description:

Post-Extraction Technician (Cannabis Lab). The Post-Extraction Technician is a mid-level position on the Extraction Team in the lab facility of Green Dot Labs. The primary objective is to formulate, refine, craft, and monitor cannabis concentrates, in accordance with SOP’s and under the direction of the Extraction Supervisor. This position is responsible for guiding the concentrates through the pipeline, from the ‘Post-Extraction stage’ to the ‘pre-packaging stage’ and to take the appropriate actions necessary to assure quality standards are met.

Job Responsibility:

  • Adhere to all SOPs and Post-Extraction protocols
  • Whip badder
  • Ensure a wet texture
  • Formulate vape cartridge concentrate
  • Release pressure from concentrate vessels and flip shatter slabs
  • Observe and record the reaction/activity of the concentrates
  • Confirm and record weight of production runs
  • Rate batches of concentrate based on internal quality control standards
  • Notify Management of QC concerns
  • Ensure concentrates meet internal residual solvent standard prior to submittal for contaminant testing
  • Document notes and observations on Work Orders and in Operational Logs
  • Adopt changes to SOP’s as well as new techniques
  • Follow Research & Development directives
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Notify the Extraction Supervisor of problems or challenges related to the pipeline or products
  • Alert the Extraction Supervisor of maintenance issues
  • Proactively notify the Extraction Supervisor when supplies need to be restocked
  • Opening and closing duties
  • Regularly perform cleaning and maintenance on all lab equipment
  • Pack, empty and clean extraction columns
  • Help compliantly dispose of green waste
  • Assist other departments
  • Help with the Transfer process
  • Aid the Extraction Supervisor with the training of Extraction staff
  • Assist in the bubble washing process
  • Freeze drying bubble hash and filling rosin bags
  • Press rosin in the Pure Pressure Rosin Press

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College experience preferred
  • Strong desire to work in a lab with extraction equipment and a strong understanding of safety requirements
  • Prior experience with extraction methods, equipment and/or purging techniques is desirable
  • Previous experience working in a licensed extraction lab desirable
  • Must maintain current FA card
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines with competing priorities
